Today, March 30th, 2020, the Voter Protection Project (VPP) is announcing their endorsement of Francis Conole in New York’s 24th Congressional District.
Founded in 2019, the Voter Protection Project is a leading political arm working to end partisan gerrymandering and voter suppression across the country. In light of the Supreme Court’s Common Cause ruling last year, VPP has been taking the fight to Republicans state-by-state supporting candidates for office at the federal and state levels that are champions for voter equality.
“The Voter Protection Project is proud to endorse Francis Conole,” said Voter Protection Project President Matt Liebman. “We need more people in Congress like Francis. As an Iraq War Veteran and Commander in the Navy Reserves, Francis understands what being a public servant means, because he has been one his entire life. Congressman John Katko is one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country and Francis Conole is the best positioned candidate to defeat him in November. The Voter Protection Project plans to put their full weight behind Francis’s candidacy.
