National Voting Rights Group Endorses Evan Low for Congress

The Voter Protection Project announces support for former Mayor and current California Assemblymember Evan Low in California’s 16th Congressional District

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Voter Protection Project (VPP), the largest national PAC focused on electing voting rights champions and holding Republicans accountable for their attacks on democracy, is endorsing Evan Low in California’s 16th Congressional District.

“Assemblymember Evan Low has a long history of breaking barriers and getting things done for a young rising star in our party,” said Heather Grevenworth, Executive Director of The Voter Protection Project. “The Voter Protection Project is honored to endorse Evan Low because we believe he will be the strongest voice for championing voting rights and protecting ballot access at the Federal level.”

“I am grateful for the endorsement from The Voter Protection Project,” said Evan Low, candidate for California’s 16th Congressional District. “From what we saw during this contentious primary, every single vote counts. Together, we will ensure that every American has the right to vote.”

Last cycle VPP supported 80+ voting rights champions including Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, Governor Katie Hobbs of Arizona, Rep. Don Davis (NC-01), Rep. Emilia Sykes (OH-13), and Rep. Yadira Caraveo (CO-08). Now, they’re helping Democratic incumbents and challengers with critical resources to win in 2024. With Republicans trying to steal elections by restricting access to the ballot box, regaining a Democratic majority in the House is crucial for passing voting rights legislation. Supporting candidates like Evan Low who will be a true champion for voting rights and voter access in Congress is critical to our mission.
