The Voter Protection Project announces support for public school teacher and former Norco City Council member Katherine Aleman for California’s 41st Congressional District

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Voter Protection Project (VPP), the nation’s largest PAC dedicated to electing voting rights champions and fighting back against voter suppression, is endorsing Katherine Aleman for Congress in California’s 41st District, one of the most competitive pickup opportunities for Democrats nationwide.
“Katherine Aleman has a proven record of bringing voters together across the ideological spectrum,” said Heather Grevenworth, Executive Director of The Voter Protection Project. ”Her background as a school teacher, a mom of four boys, and serving as the only Democrat on the Norco City Council proved to us that she was the strongest candidate in the race with the experience and perspective to defeat Ken Calvert next fall.”
“I’m proud to have the endorsement of the Voter Protection Project,” said Katherine Aleman, candidate for California’s 41st Congressional District. “On the Norco City Council, I voted against an appointment process that denied voters the right to choose their representative, and in Congress I’ll continue to fight to strengthen voting rights and ensure working families can make their voices heard at the ballot box.”
Last cycle, VPP supported over 30 voting rights champions, including newly elected Senator Ruben Gallego (AZ), Senator Elissa Slotkin (MI), Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08), Congresswoman Janelle Bynum (OR-05), and Congressman Josh Riley (NY-19). Without a Democratic majority in Congress, Trump and his MAGA extremists will continue their relentless assault on democracy, chipping away at our most fundamental rights. That’s why VPP is laser-focused on identifying and electing fearless leaders like Katherine Aleman, who will put Democrats back in control—ensuring every American’s sacred right to vote is protected, expanded, and never threatened.
