The Voter Protection Project announces support for commercial fisherman Bill Hill for Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District
SACRAMENTO, CA – The Voter Protection Project (VPP), the nation’s largest PAC dedicated to electing voting rights champions and fighting back against voter suppression, is endorsing Bill Hill in Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District—the first independent candidate the organization has supported since its founding in 2019.
“Bill Hill is stepping up to give Alaskans an independent voice and to defend the fundamental right of every eligible voter to make their voice heard at the ballot box,” said Heather Grevenworth, Executive Director of The Voter Protection Project. “We’re proud to endorse Bill and to make his campaign the first independent candidacy VPP has supported since our founding in 2019. We believe his commitment to Alaska and to protecting voting rights makes this an important race for our organization and for voters across the state.”
“Alaskans send one person to the U.S. House. That person should answer to Alaskans, not to the billionaires trying to buy seats in Congress,” said Bill Hill, candidate for Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District. “I am grateful for this endorsement, and I will keep fighting to make sure every Alaskan can vote and have that vote counted.”

The Voter Protection Project (VPP) works to confront the architects of voter suppression directly at the ballot box. VPP believes the best defense against Republican voter suppression and gerrymandering is a strong offense. Since 2019, VPP has raised more than $21 million to support Democratic candidates for office at the federal and state levels who champion fair and representative elections.
