The Voter Protection Project announces support for Washington State Senator Emily Randall in Washington’s 6th Congressional District
SACRAMENTO, CA – The Voter Protection Project (VPP), the largest national PAC focused on electing voting rights champions and holding Republicans accountable for their attacks on democracy, is endorsing Emily Randall in Washington’s 6th Congressional District.
“State Senator Emily Randall has a proven track record of standing up for what’s right and being an effective legislator,” said Heather Grevenworth, Executive Director of The Voter Protection Project. “With so much on the line this November, from reproductive rights to protecting access to the ballot box, we need to make sure we are sending our best to Washington. We are honored to endorse Emily and believe she is the best choice to fight for our rights in Congress and represent the people of Washington’s 6th Congressional District.”
“When I talk with my neighbors across the sixth district — at their doors and at community events — I hear over and over again that folks are concerned about our democracy. They recognize that we are at a critical moment, and protecting the right to vote for Americans is crucial,” said Emily Randall, candidate for Washington’s 6th Congressional District. “That’s why I’m so proud of the work that we have done in *this Washington* to strengthen voting rights, and proud to be one of the voting rights champions endorsed by the Voter Protection Project. In Congress, I will continue to fight to remove barriers to voting and ensure every citizen’s voice is heard.”
Last cycle VPP supported 80+ voting rights champions including Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, Governor Katie Hobbs of Arizona, Rep. Don Davis (NC-01), Rep. Emilia Sykes (OH-13), and Rep. Yadira Caraveo (CO-08). In 2023, they’re helping Democratic incumbents and challengers with critical resources to win in 2024. With Republicans trying to steal elections by restricting access to the ballot box, regaining a Democratic majority in the House is crucial for passing voting rights legislation. Supporting candidates like Emily Randall, who will be a true champion for voting rights and voter access in Congress is critical to our mission.
