National Voting Rights Organization Endorses Stefany Shaheen

The Voter Protection Project announces support for health care advocate, entrepreneur, and community leader Stefany Shaheen for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Voter Protection Project (VPP), the nation’s largest PAC dedicated to electing voting rights champions and fighting back against voter suppression, is endorsing Stefany Shaheen for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, a key open seat in the fight for control of Congress.

“Stefany Shaheen has spent years fighting for New Hampshire families, and we know she’ll bring that same determination to Congress,” said Heather Grevenworth, Executive Director of The Voter Protection Project. “At a time when voting rights, health care, and the programs families depend on are under attack, we need leaders who aren’t afraid to fight back. VPP is proud to endorse Stefany and help send her to Washington.”

“I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of the Voter Protection Project and to stand with one of the largest voting rights groups in the country to protect Americans’ right to vote,” said Stefany Shaheen, Democratic candidate for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. “The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy, and we can’t allow Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress and in Concord to make it harder for people to have their voices heard. I’ll always stand up for Granite Staters and fight to make sure every eligible voter can make their voice heard at the ballot box.”

Last cycle, VPP supported more than 30 voting rights champions, including newly elected Senator Ruben Gallego (AZ), Senator Elissa Slotkin (MI), Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet (MI-08), Congresswoman Janelle Bynum (OR-05), and Congressman Josh Riley (NY-19).

With control of Congress at stake, Republicans will continue pushing policies that threaten voting rights and access to the ballot. That’s why VPP is laser-focused on electing leaders like Stefany Shaheen, who will stand up for New Hampshire voters and fight to protect our fundamental right to vote.
